The Health and Safety Task Force offers additional information about Guilford's upcoming booster requirement deadline of Feb. 15. As President Kyle Farmbry shared a week ago, the most effective way to reduce the impact of COVID-19 and its variants on the campus community is to have as many people as possible fully vaccinated and boosted, and to wear a mask when you are in contact with other people.
Submitting Your Booster Information

To submit proof of your booster shot to the College, please use the following links:

Booster Clinic on Thursday

If you have not received your booster shot, we will have a booster clinic on Thursday, Jan. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Founders Hall, Boren Lounge. Both the Pfizer and Moderna booster shots will be available. Here is a link to sign up if you would like to schedule an appointment. Sign Up is NOT required. Walk-ins are welcome!

Who is Eligible for a Booster?

The CDC guidelines recommend boosters to those who are 12-plus years old. If you received a two-shot series of Pfizer or Moderna, you are eligible to receive a booster after five months from your second shot date. If you received the one-shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine, you are eligible to receive a booster after two months.

Guilford's booster requirement is for those who are eligible to receive a booster shot. Those individuals who have not reached five months post-Pfizer/post-Moderna or two months post-J&J are not required to receive a booster by Feb. 15. However, when your time does become available, you will have two weeks within that date to receive your booster.

Exemptions

If you have already received a religious or medical exemption from the vaccination requirement, you are exempted from the upcoming booster deadline. If you have a new request for a medical exemption from the booster, please complete this form with needed information from a medical provider. Individuals with a new religious exemption request should contact Wess Daniels.
