Generous Institutional Financial Aid
Awards start at $15,000 per year and go up to $27,000 a year or more. On top of that, you may qualify for up to $12,000 more through federal and state financial aid programs.
Committed to Affordability
Guilford also offers a $4,000 Housing Grant to any student who lives on campus, for every year they live on campus.
In fall 2021, the average financial aid award including all sources of aid (federal work study and federal loans included) was $35,000 per year.

You qualify as a first-time applicant.
There’s no separate application — just apply to Guilford through the Guilford College application, the Common App, or through CFNC if you live in North Carolina.
Never! Guilford College is 100 percent test optional, so no SAT or ACT scores are ever required to qualify for financial aid. Plus, it’s always free to apply to Guilford.
You must remain enrolled as a full-time student at Guilford College in good academic and conduct standing.
The Housing Grant is renewable in future years as long as you remain living on campus.
Your Guilford College financial aid remains the same for all four years (eight semesters). And you will graduate in four years — you’ll have a team of advisers helping you every step of the way.
Federal aid, state aid, and outside scholarships will be applied, and the Guilford College Office of Financial Aid is always here to support you and your family’s decision-making.
