Guilford Serves

Guilford College is committed to the active pursuit of our Core Values. The annual Day of Service is an opportunity to bring Guilfordians together to put those values into practice through service in our local community.

Guilford volunteers engage in projects like providing fresh food and garden compost to refugees, helping with a 5K raising money to support a volunteer organization that provides food to children, making improvements at local community gardens, and serving meals to those struggling with hunger and homelessness.

Day of Service is just a beginning. We encourage all faculty, staff, students and alumni to pursue additional service opportunities. The College’s Bonner Center for Community Learning and Service coordinates numerous ongoing student-led initiatives related to food justice and other issues.
