Campus Update from the Office of the Provost

Thank you to facilities staff who have worked hard to clear pathways and ready the campus again.

Tuesday, Jan. 18, Update

Although the City of Greensboro was able to clear many neighborhood roads, there will be some refreezing overnight. Therefore, the physical campus will open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 19, but because classes are still remote, classes will occur at their regular times.

The dining hall, Rachel's Rose Cottage, and the Grill will all hold normal hours.

If you are able to work remotely, please stay on your regular schedule. If you need to travel to campus, please be safe.

Monday, Jan. 17, Update

The snow and ice that melted today (Monday) are refreezing, so please, if you move around outside tonight or tomorrow, be very careful about slick surfaces.

The Dining Hall will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Rachel's Rose Cottage will open at 10 a.m. The Grill will open at 11:30 a.m.

If you are categorized as "essential personnel," please report to work at your regularly scheduled time, and be extra careful if you need to drive. If you are not able to commute safely, please discuss with your supervisor as soon as possible.

Faculty, please let your students know how you will adjust your class schedule to accommodate this snow day.

Students, be on the lookout for a message from your professors.

Everyone, please stay safe and warm and let us know if you have any questions.
