H. Curt ’56 and Patricia S. ’57 Hege Professor of History Tim Kircher has recently published a chapter on the work of the early Renaissance author and humanist Giovanni Boccaccio (1313-1375). The chapter appears in the volume The ‘Decameron’: Fourth Day in Perspective. Entitled “Love, Latinity, and Aging in the Introduction to Day Four,” it discusses how Boccaccio’s most famous work, the Decameron, relates erotic passion to the stages on life’s way. Tim is also the past president of the American Boccaccio Association.
