Calculate Your Career

Though math is full of facts and figures, you’re never just a number when you're a student at Guilford College.

Seminars for Mathematics majors and minors provide ample opportunity to work one on one and in small groups with professors. In consultation with your academic adviser, you will plan your course of study within this adaptable major to prepare you for a multitude of math-related careers as well as graduate school.

For instance, you can choose to double major, allowing you to pursue interests in any other discipline and relate them to Mathematics. Often, students combine their studies with Chemistry or Physics because of shared requirements. And a significant number of students also pursue a major in Art or Music.

You can focus on a specific area of Mathematics as well. If you’re interested in earning a graduate degree in a related field, Mathematics majors at Guilford College who emphasize theoretical mathematics have been notably successful at respected universities.
