The Guilford Daily email for faculty and staff – launched in February 2023 – is a great way to share important, non-urgent messages with the entire campus community. There is a version of the Daily for students as well.
The Daily arrives in faculty and staff inboxes around 6:30 am each day (5:30 am Eastern Standard Time beginning Nov. 3). Everyone in the community is invited to submit announcements up to an hour before the email is delivered.
It’s easy for faculty and staff to share information in the Daily: simply compose and send an email to guilford-daily-facstaff@guilford.edu.
Here are some tips for posting a message:
- Put your title for the message in the email subject line
- Limit the message to 500 or fewer words; keep it short by deleting your signature information at the end of the email before submitting it
- In messages about events, include a date, time, location, sponsoring department and contact information
Announcements in the Daily should lift up community, promote connection and be consistent with College values and the policy on Appropriate Use of Information and Technology Resources.

To post to the student version of the Daily, which hits their inboxes around 7:30 pm each day (6:30 pm Eastern Standard Time beginning Nov. 3), faculty or staff members may simply compose and send an email to guilford-daily-student@guilford.edu.
The Daily replaced the Buzz, which was discontinued after 19 years when email protocols were updated during the cyber security incident in the fall of 2022.
