Testing Results for Week of Nov. 8

Our regular weekly testing clinic was held on Tuesday, Nov. 9. A total of 67 individuals were tested and there were no positive results. We will continue to hold weekly testing clinics on Tuesdays for those who are not fully vaccinated, who have religious or medical exemptions, and for anyone who wishes to be tested for any reason.

The entire campus community (faculty, staff, students) will be required to test upon return from Thanksgiving break on either Tuesday, Nov. 30, or Wednesday, Dec. 1.

Report on Nov. 6 Vaccine Clinic

A vaccine clinic was held on Saturday, Nov. 6, for anyone who needed a first or second dose, as well as those who qualified for a booster shot. The clinic was open to the campus community and their families as well as those who were on campus participating in the Soy un Lider conference. A total of 36 vaccines were administered.

Our next vaccination clinic will be on Wednesday, Nov. 17, in the Boren Lounge of Founders Hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This clinic will be for individuals that need their second shot or a booster.

Update on Vaccine Mandate

We are now several weeks past the deadline for our vaccine mandate and we are pleased that the vast majority of our faculty, staff and students have complied with the mandate or have obtained a religious or medical exemption. We continue to follow up with those who may still need a second shot for full compliance.

If you need to submit your proof of your second shot, upload your proof of vaccination using the following links:

Visitor Policy

The Health and Safety Task Force recommended a visitor policy to Cabinet for its consideration. Of primary concern were overnight guests, visitor attendance in classrooms, and events where food is being served which would cause participants to be unmasked. It is our hope that this policy can be used as a guide to plan and prepare for events along with the Activity Matrix.

The Health and Safety Task Force continues to meet weekly to discuss questions about holding in-person events indoors, especially those where members of the greater Greensboro community might be in attendance, and to provide clarification on our Activity Matrix. If you have a question for the committee, please send it to taskforce@guilford.edu.

We will issue our next report on Nov. 18 and then will take a break for Thanksgiving; Dec. 2 will be the first report circulated after Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,
The Health and Safety Task Force
