Get Connected, Get Global

The field of International Studies broadens horizons by its nature. At Guilford, the possibilities for research and discovery are magnified by the multidisciplinary experience of those who choose to major in International Studies.

International Studies is an interdisciplinary, stand-alone major that offers four specialty tracks: Asian Studies, European Studies, Latin American Studies, and International Affairs.

While students focus their international studies courses, language study, and study-abroad experience on one geographic region (East Asia, Europe, or Latin America), they often explore other areas of interests. These include Environmental Studies, Political Science, Business, Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Economics, Biology, Sociology/Anthropology, Art, and many others.
