Spring Semester Student Checklist
Welcome to Guilford
Congratulations on your decision to attend Guilford College! We're expecting a great group of students this spring 2022, and we're thrilled you'll be part of our community. Below is important information and dates for your next steps as a Guilford student. For more information about anything you see here, or if you have questions, please contact the Office of Admission at 336.316.2100 or admission@guilford.edu.
Next Steps for Students Admitted for Spring Semester 2022
Submit your $250 deposit online through your Guilford status page. Once logged in you'll need to accept your offer of admission and then you'll be prompted to pay your deposit.
You may also call the Office of Admission at 336.316.2100 to pay over the phone by credit or debit card.
Or send a check or money order (made payable to Guilford College) to:
Guilford College
Office of Admission
5800 West Friendly Avenue
Greensboro, N.C. 27410
Please send your final, official transcript to the Guilford College Office of Admission by email at admission@guilford.edu. You can also send it directly to your admission counselor.
Once you have submitted your transcript, a Guilford Guide or faculty adviser will reach out to you to talk about your class schedule and to help you register for your spring 2022 classes.
Be on the lookout for an email containing your new Guilford email address, ID number (G#), and account information, with the subject line Guilford Login Information. At that time, follow the instructions to log in to your Guilford accounts and update your passwords.
You will also receive an email within your new Guilford College email account, from Everfi, to complete training that is required by the College.
Register your vehicle/bicycle online. Select Apply for a Permit, follow the steps, and print out your confirmation page when registration is complete. You will need to bring the confirmation page with you to the Office of Public Safety to pick up your free permit decal. Find P-Safe on campus at 818 Quadrangle Drive.
Every student should fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), regardless of income. Guilford uses the FAFSA to offer grants and work-study. Guilford’s FAFSA code is 002931. If you have questions or need more time, call the Office of Admission to speak to your counselor, 336.316.2100.
Housing processes for new students open Oct. 25, 2021.
Once you have set up your Guilford student email account and received your Network Account Login, you may review the housing options for first-year students and complete your Online Housing Application through MyHousing Self-Service where you'll submit your roommate and housing preferences. Students who complete the housing application by Nov. 30 will receive best consideration.
Room, roommate, and meal-plan assignments will be emailed to you once they're complete, and assignments will be made on a rolling basis. Please see the recommended Guilford College Packing List for suggestions about what to bring with you on move-in day. Guilford has a four-year residential requirement. Students seeking to be released from this requirement may find the off-campus policies and application forms online.
Make sure to pay your first tuition bill by Dec. 15. You will receive instructions by email about how to use TouchNet. Payment plans will be available for five monthly installments on TouchNet from Dec. 1-14.
Submit your photo for your student identification card at this link. Note: ID Cards for readmitted students will be reactivated in the system, so you will not need to submit a photo. If you need to replace a lost student ID we can reuse your photo that's on file.
All Guilford College students, faculty, and staff must be fully vaccinated to start the Spring 2022 semester, either with the two-shot mRNA series (Pfizer or Moderna) or the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine. As an incoming student, we will need you to submit a picture of your vaccination card through this Google form by Wednesday, January 5th. If you have a question about this requirement or your particular situation, please reach out to taskforce@guilford.edu.
Guilford College does allow for two exemptions: a) a firmly held religious belief or b) a medical condition that prevents you from meeting the vaccination requirement. If you would like to apply for a religious exemption, you can submit the needed information to this Google form for our review committee to make a decision. If you believe you have a medical condition, you can submit the attached form (see below) to this Google form. The deadlines for exemption requests are also by Wednesday, January 5th.
You will receive a link to a pre-orientation Canvas Course site in your Guildford College student email. Please contact aproudfit@guilford.edu if you have any trouble accessing the course.
Check-in is Friday, Jan. 7, and orientation begins the same day. This is also move-in day for residential students. When you arrive on campus, head to Founders Hall between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Download the Navigate Student app through the App Store or Google Play Store and complete your intake survey. Additional sessions on check-in day include:
2-2:30 p.m. Academic Commons
2:30-3:30 p.m. Title IX
4-4:30 p.m. Q & A with Current Students
These sessions will be virtual and a Zoom link will be sent to participants by email.
The spring twelve-week session begins on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022. For more information and a full academic calendar, please visit the Registrar and Student Accounts webpage. (Scroll to find January dates.)
All students must complete this student immunization form.
Print, complete, and send it by email to studenthealth@guilford.edu, fax it to 336.316.2184, or mail it to:

If you have applied for federal aid and need to accept the Federal Direct Loans that have been offered to you, log in to Banner Web to do so.
