Testing Results for Week of Nov. 1

The regular testing clinic held on Tuesday, Nov. 2, yielded just one positive result out of the 88 individuals who were tested. We will continue to hold weekly testing clinics on Tuesdays for those who are not fully unvaccinated, who have religious or medical exemptions, and for anyone who wishes to be tested for any reason.

Last Minute Vaccine Clinic

We have a last minute opportunity to hold a vaccine clinic this Saturday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Founders Hall-Boren Lounge. No registration is needed — if you need your second dose or a booster, just show up. See details below.

Update on Vaccine Mandate

We are now several weeks past the deadline for our vaccine mandate and we are pleased that the vast majority of our faculty, staff, and students have complied with the mandate or have obtained a religious or medical exemption. A very small number of individuals chose to separate from the College.

If you need to submit your proof of your second shot, upload your proof of vaccination using the following links:

Visitor Policy Being Developed

The Health and Safety Committee continues to work on a visitor policy that can guide us through the remainder of the semester and into next year. It is our hope that once this policy has been approved we can plan and prepare for events using the policy and the Activity Matrix to guide us.

The Health and Safety Task Force continues to meet weekly to discuss questions about holding in-person events indoors, especially those where members of the greater Greensboro community might be in attendance, and to provide clarification on our Activity Matrix. If you have a question for the committee, please send it to taskforce@guilford.edu.

Thank you for continuing to follow the three W’s by wearing a mask, waiting 3 to 6 feet apart, and washing your hands or using hand sanitizer frequently. We are all in this together!

Sincerely,
The Health and Safety Task Force
