Heath Brown '96, Publishes Book

Heath Brown ’96, an Associate Professor of Public Policy at John Jay College, has published a book titled, Homeschooling the Right: How Conservative Education Activism Erodes the State (Columbia University Press, 2021). The book explores the central role that the homeschooling movement has played in conservative efforts to shrink the public sector.  

At Guilford, Heath majored in History and then received his master's and Ph.D. from George Washington University. He taught at Roanoke College and Seton Hall before joining the faculty at John Jay College.
