DepartmentHistory

Learn how to connect past to the present, and turn your History education into a career or the pursuit of a graduate degree.

Use the Past to Unlock the Future

Realize your potential by studying the past. History reveals possibilities for days to come — explore these possibilities with your fellow students and professors as you come to understand how we create historical knowledge. Through readings and discussions you’ll find out how history is fundamental to evaluating our present condition and the choices it holds for us.

You’ll choose an area of historical specialization and complete a two-semester thesis recommended for your junior year. Minors/tracks include Early World History, European History, Modern World History, and U.S. History.
