Health and Safety Task Force Update: Nov. 6, 2020

Here is this week’s update regarding the ongoing College-wide efforts to safeguard the health of our community. 

COVID TESTING 

On Nov. 5 and 6, we continued our athletic and random testing clinics. We expect to receive the results from this testing clinic early next week, and we will communicate those results in a separate communication by Tuesday, Nov. 10.

Here are our current COVID-19 statistics:

  • We have had 30 identified positive cases since move-in day, Thursday, Aug. 13.
  • We have had 20 positive cases since the beginning of classes, Wednesday, Aug. 19.
  • We are currently managing 0 active positive cases. Active cases are the positive cases that were reported within the past 7 days, and who were on campus within the prior 14 days. 
  • We have 5 students who have been identified as close contacts to a positive case and are quarantining for a mandatory 14 days.
  • Since we began our testing clinics we have conducted 3,988 tests, with 22 positive cases from those testing clinics.
