South of the Border

Study in Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, Argentina or Chile. Learn about colonial and modern history, Caribbean literature, migration patterns, race, inequality, economic development, film and much more as a Latin American Studies minor. You’ll acquire an interdisciplinary education on the cultures, history and current issues in Latin America. You'll also attain a basic understanding of a portion of Latin America’s history and the region’s perspectives, values and contributions as you broaden your perspective of the world. This minor will help you better understand your own culture and global interdependence in the 21st century. International Studies majors fulfill a requirement by studying abroad.
