Biography


Demp Bradford is an Adjunct Professor in the Sports Studies Department. He teaches courses such as introduction to sport management, organization and management of sport, exercise and physical education and sport finance.

Demp serves as the Vice President/Chief Operations Officer of the Greensboro Sports Foundation which focuses on the growth and enhancement of sports tourism in Guilford County. From 2016-2022, he served as the President of the Asheville Buncombe Regional Sports Commission where a couple of his major accomplishments were hosting the relocated 2020 Maui Invitational during Covid and also hosting three Billie Jean King Cups in Asheville. Demp served in various capacities with the Greensboro Sports Commission and the Greensboro Youth Soccer Association prior to his stint in Asheville.

A native of Eden, Demp graduated from J.M. Morehead High School and then received his Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Demp completed his Master of Arts in Education at East Carolina University. In addition, he is a Certified Sports Event Manager and completed his Sports Diversity Leadership Training from Compete Sports Diversity which is an area that he is passionate about.

Demp currently serves as the President of the NC Sports Association and is the Vice Chairman of the NC Youth Soccer Association and has served on several state and local board of directors.
