Professor Gilmore received his Ph D. in Political Economy and International Relations from Rutgers University in 1996. Before arriving at Guilford in 1998, Ken taught at The University of Texas, The University of Washington, as well as Rutgers. He teaches courses on economic justice and inclusion for the departments of Political Science and Peace and Conflict Studies, with a particular focus on the local Greensboro community. He also teaches international courses on global inequality and the pursuit of peace. For eight years, Ken served as Director of Guilford’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), part of Guilford’s reaffirmation of accreditation, and has lectured and consulted on QEP implementation and assessment at dozens of colleges and universities. Ken currently serves as chair of both Political Science and International Studies.
