Basketball Teams Keeping Court Busy During Holidays

The rest of the campus might be hibernating during winter break, but Ragan-Brown Field House will stay busy with a full schedule of men’s and women’s basketball games.

Guilford’s men’s team, which is 7-2 (3-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference), has five straight wins heading into Saturday’s game against cross-city rival Greensboro College. The Quakers are led by Tyler Dearman ’23, who’s averaging 14.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.

After Saturday, the men’s team has home games against Bridgewater College on Dec. 29, Centre College on Dec. 30, and Washington and Lee University on Jan. 4.

The women’s team is 5-2 (2-2) and plays at home again on Dec. 17 against Pfeiffer University. Lindsay Gauldin ’23 (14.9 ppg) leads a balanced offense.

The women’s team plays Salem College on Dec. 29 and Methodist College on Dec. 30.

Game times and more information on both teams can be found at guilfordquakers.com.
