Bike Shop

Do you have a bike sitting in your garage that begs to be ridden but needs a few repairs? Want to rent a bike for a semester while you decide whether to buy one?

If you answered yes to either question, stop by the Bike Shop in the basement of Shore Hall. Operated by the Office of Sustainability, the Bike Shop is open Monday through Friday for rentals, discounted tune-ups and basic repairs.

Rentals: You can rent a bike for $1-3 a day, $5-15 a week or $50-100 a semester. All rentals include a lock, and semester rentals include routine maintenance. Check out our interactive campus map to view bike rack locations.

Tune-Ups and Repairs: The Bike Shop offers discounted tune-ups and basic repairs to Guilford College students, faculty and staff. We can fix your flat tires, worn or noisy brakes and out-of-tune gears.

In addition to bikes, electronic waste is welcome, too. Bring us your old batteries and devices that plug in or use a battery but don’t work any more (cell phones, stereos, cameras, etc.). For more information, email bikeshop@guilford.edu or call 336.316.2435 during the shop’s hours of operation.
