Students, Alumni and Faculty Present at DIVAS 2018

Six Guilford College students and alumni––Sarena Brown '19, Tenaja Henson '20, Judia Holton '18, Donzahniya Pitre ’18, Mattie Schaefer '20, and Rehshetta Wells '18––and one faculty member, Krista Craven (Assistant Professor of Community and Justice Studies), co-presented their paper, From “Teaching Assistant” to “Co-Facilitator”: Collaborative Teaching for Liberation, at the 2018 DIVAS Conference on Culturally Responsive Pedagogy at North Carolina A&T Sate University on September 29.

This presentation was based on findings from a reflexive, participatory research project in which the aforementioned student-faculty team critically reflected on their role as both teachers and learners in college classrooms.
