The Great Guilford Food Truck Race

Foodies, welcome home. Greensboro is a great city for those who love exploring a breadth of cuisines (and posting pictures of their food to their story).

Check out this sampling of the smorgasbord of food trucks cruising around the Gate City. You’ll see many of them at events here on campus! And by the way, the next Greensboro Food Truck Festival is Aug. 26, 2018.

Kona Ice
With over 900 trucks in 47 states, Kona Ice may not be unique to Greensboro, but the shaved ice truck frequents some of the coolest spots in town — like our campus! Not that we're biased, or anything.

King-Queen Haitian Cuisine
It’s the taste of Haiti and the Caribbean in Greensboro! Seafood, pork and chicken dishes with such caribbean ingredients as plantains and jerk spices add extra deliciousness to any food truck experience. It’s no wonder that King-Queen is a popular truck for breweries and parks in the Piedmont-Triad.

Bandito Burrito
Reviewers use a couple of common words when describing Bandito’s fare — huge and delicious! The truck is a mobile version of the Bandito Bodega on Friendly Avenue, and it offers tacos and burritos baja style, Hawaiian style, Southwest style and “Big.”

HomeSlice Pizza and Subs
A Greensboro pizza and subs shop bringing Western New York style slices to North Carolina? Yes! The food-truck menu is a specialized, pared down version of the full shop. Options include a build-your-own personal pizza, wings, garlic knots and pizza balls — deep fried dough with cheese and pepperoni served with a side of marinara. Drooling yet?

There are dozens of food trucks rolling around Greensboro. So gather up your friends and go discover one that sounds delicious to you. Or, you know, try them all. Could there be a more delicious life goal? We think not!
