Max Carter Releases Compilation of Essays on Campus Ministry

Max L. Carter, retired William R. Rogers Director of Friends Center and Quaker Studies, has self-published an edited compilation of his essays that appeared in the Guilford College campus ministry newsletter, the GCRO Caw, from 2003 to 2015, the year of his retirement.

The book, College Spirit II: Further Essays in Campus Ministry, is a follow-up to his earlier compilation of essays from 1978 to 2003, College Spirit: Reflections on 25 Years in Campus Ministry. Chapters in the book cover college issues, Quakerism, spirituality, work trip experiences, and Carter's academic and service-learning trips to Palestine and Israel.

The 330-page book is available on Amazon in "soft copy" and on Kindle.
