Tuesday Tours to Underground Railroad Tree Are Now Available!

Friends Center is proud to announce that open tours to our Underground Railroad Tree are now available weekly while school is in session.

Do you know what it means to be a silent witness? Come on this tour to discover how a 300 year old tree was such a witness to the Underground Railroad activities on Guilford’s campus. Open tours, meaning no RSVP is required, are now available on Tuesday afternoons at 2. Meet at the Friends Center and your tour guide will walk with you down to the trail. Tours last approximately one hour on the 3/10 mile (one way) trail. Wear sturdy shoes you do not mind getting a little dirty!
