Guilford Joins Colleges Nationwide in Standing With High School Student Protesters

The Guilford College Office of Admission has announced that students who choose to walk out of classes as part of the Never Again movement to end gun violence in schools will not be penalized in the admission process, regardless of how the protest acts are noted in their school records.

In the statement, Guilford College says:

If you are applying for admission to Guilford College, regardless of how this is presented in your school record, it will be understood by us as an indicator that you have chosen the path of justice, of community, of excellence, of stewardship, of diversity, of equality and of integrity.
