Robert Reich Talk Featured in News and Record

The Greensboro News & Record covered Robert Reich’s April 7 appearance in the College’s Bryan Series.

Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley, Robert has written 14 books and served in three presidential administrations, most recently as Secretary of Labor under Bill Clinton. He often writes and speaks about the nation’s growing income inequality.

During his Bryan Series speech, Robert described himself as a “class worrier” rather than a “class warrior,” the article notes. The newspaper also reported his response to the question of whether he might run for president: “I am too short, too outspoken and constitutionally unable to kiss wealthy derrières.”

The article and a photo gallery are available on the website of the News & Record.

Anderson Cooper will speak April 19 in the next and final event in the 2014-15 edition of the speaker series. The College recently announced the 2015-16 Bryan Series lineup.
