Theatre studies major Nina Troy ’16 has been admitted to the prestigious American Theatre Wing Springboard program in New York City for the summer of 2015.
This intensive program prepares students for life as a working actor and includes workshops, seminars and master classes taught by leading actors, directors, choreographers and producers in the New York theatre. As a participant in the program, Nina will also be a guest at the Theatre Wing’s 2015 Tony Awards ceremony at Radio City Music Hall.
The American Theatre Wing is the oldest service organization in the American theatre, dedicated to preserving the past, celebrating the present, and fostering the future of the American theatre nationwide.
The Theatre Wing celebrates and supports the theatre through awards, grants, and programs, illuminates and documents the people who create American theatre, and engages and educates the next generation of audiences and practitioners. The Theatre Wing established the Tony Awards in 1947 in honor of its founder, Antoinette Perry.
