Krista Craven Presents on Activism of Undocumented Youth

Krista Craven, assistant professor of justice and policy studies, co-presented the paper “The Activism of Undocumented Youth to Increase Access to Post-Secondary Education in Tennessee” at a roundtable session at the 2015 American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting.

She presented with her co-researchers, Jazmin Ramirez, Diana Montero, Rodrigo Robles, Maria Robles, and Brenda Hernandez. Together, they presented some of their findings from an ongoing participatory action research project that focuses on recording and analyzing the oral histories of undocumented youth activists in Tennessee.

The roundtable session in which they participated was sponsored by the “Grassroots Community and Youth Organizing for Education Reform” Special Interest Group at AERA.
