President Jane Fernandes spoke about growing up deaf and her plans for Guilford in a “Newsmakers” segment broadcast Sept. 30 on WGHP.
Jane, who took office July 1, told Neill McNeill, the station’s senior news anchor, that students will always be the top priority of the College.
“We are here to provide education, and we’re focused first on teaching and learning, and that’s what our primary mission will always be,” she said.
While some things at Guilford will stay the same, others will change. Jane said she’d like to see enrollment gradually increase by a modest amount.
