Guilford Shares, our annual giving campaign to support nonprofit organizations beyond our campus that serve the environmental, arts, human and social resource needs of the broader Guilford County community 2015 has launched.
Three organizations are again part of the campaign: ArtsGreensboro, EarthShare NC and the United Way of Greater Greensboro. Every contribution helps as we strive for 50 percent participation. The campaign runs until Dec. 4.
Through this annual campaign, Guilford College gives back to our community, translates our values into public action and makes a difference in countless lives.
The participating organizations do important work to meet social needs. Please visit their websites to learn more about the organizations and their impact.
ArtsGreensboro financially supports more than 50 arts organizations and projects each year; connects the public to arts and entertainment; and financially supports the area arts scene through grants, marketing support and other important initiatives and services. ArtsGreensboro advocates for the arts in a variety of ways on both local and state levels.
EarthShare NC provides vital support for 70+ nonprofits to improve public health, combat climate change, protect wildlife, keep rivers and streams fishable and swimmable, and conserve land and farms important to the state’s character and economy. EarthShare NC strengthens the capacity of the member nonprofits to preserve and enhance the natural environment.
United Way of Greater Greensboro improves lives by mobilizing and uniting the caring power of our community. They bring together diverse people and organizations with passion, expertise and resources to address essential human needs in education, income and health. United Way of Greater Greensboro is focused on achieving real results that affect the human condition in areas that matter the most.
