Guilford Community Invited to Anniversary Celebration

On the evening of Friday, April 17, The Guilford College Friends of the Library will host a 25th anniversary gala, Celebrating Our Past – Envisioning Our Future, marking the completion in 1989 of the Hege Library addition.

All members of the Guilford community are welcomed to attend a reception beginning at 6 p.m. in the Library and Art Gallery, to partake of refreshments and hors d’oeuvres, and to enjoy the scholarly and creative endeavors of Guilford students who have particularly distinguished themselves this academic year in scholarship, artistry, and music.

A most special aspect of the reception will be a showcasing, by members of the Greenleaf Coffee Co-Op, of the newly completed Library café space, The Greenleaf @ Hege, recognizing the establishment of an exciting partnership between Hege Library and Greenleaf.

The occasion pays tribute to the generosity and vision of principle donors and Guilford alumni, H. Curt ‘56 and Patricia S. ’57 Hege, who with many other very special friends and supporters planted the seed for an exciting re-imagining of the Library by making the 1989 Hege addition possible.
