George Guo Named Research Fellow at East Asian Institute

George Guo, a professor of political science and East Asian studies, will spend the summer as a visiting senior research fellow at the National University of Singapore’s East Asian Institute.

The institute is an autonomous research organization under a statute of the National University of Singapore. It aims to promote both academic and policy-oriented research on East Asian development, particularly the political, economic and social development of contemporary China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), and China’s growing economic relations with the region and the world at large, including Japan, Korea and ASEAN.

The institute placed fifth overall in the Asia and Pacific category (which excludes China, India, Japan and South Korea) of the 2013 Global Go To Think Tank Survey’s annual rankings.
