HLois Mlo ’18 and staff member Andrew Young contributed to “This Is My Home Now,” a documentary about four local Montagnard teens, that is about to be screened in Greensboro and aired across the state.
HLois, a member of the Rade People of Southern Vietnam and a Bonner Scholar, was on the film and production crew as a high school senior. Andrew Young, volunteer training coordinator for the Bonner Center, was interviewed for the film.

The Greensboro Historical Museum, which created the film with support from the Smithsonian, will show it twice, at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 18. Andrew will be part of a moderated panel discussion following the first screening.
The premiere events at the museum, 130 Summit Ave., will begin at noon with refreshments and entertainment, followed by a welcome and introductions. The afternoon’s activities are all free and open to the public, but the museum requests that those planning to attend one of the screenings RSVP to 336-373-2982.
The film will be shared more widely 10 days later: UNC-TV will air it 11-11:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, and again 5-5:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 29.
