Julia was a Principled Problem Solving and Strategic Reinvestment Scholar and a member of the Quaker Leadership Scholars Program, Multicultural Leadership Scholars Program and Honors Program. She was an advocate in the Judicial System and a member of the Personal Growth Group.
David, who completed his degree in August 2014, was a community & justice studies major with a minor in U.S. history. A native of Orem, Utah, and 20-year resident of Greensboro, he was a member of Hillel and participated with the Interactive Resource Center and Greensboro Urban Ministries. David works as volunteer coordinator for Jewish Family Services and will pursue a master’s degree in Peace & Conflict Studies at UNCG.
The two students will join former Vice President for Student Affairs Aaron Fetrow as speakers at commencement. Aaron, now VP for student affairs at Roanoke College, was announced as invited speaker in January.
