Please note: Students may not declare a French major or minor during the 2022-23 academic year.

Discover new ways to see and think about the various French and French-speaking cultures with a minor in French Language and Society. This program focuses on language acquisition and fosters international understanding while providing increasingly essential global knowledge and skills.

Guilford students have studied abroad in Paris, France; Rennes, France; Dakar, Senegal; Antananarivo, Madagascar; Rabat, Morocco; and Montréal, Canada

The minor in French language and society is not available to French majors and requires a minimum of 16 credit hours (typically four courses) at the 200-level or above, all taught in French.
