So what is a LARP anyway?
A LARP, or Live-Action-Role-Playing, is where we all get together and dress up and act like our character. Unlike tabletop games where you just say "my character does this, or that" you actually act out what your character does.
This years game is Changeling. For anyone new to Changeling, think Lord of the Rings mixed with Pans Labyrinth, mixed with all sorts of fantasy. It's a place full of dragons, puffballs, random fantasy creature things, whatever. Try crossing fairytale fantasy in the woods when you were a little kid with a mystery party. There are two worlds, the 'real' world and the Faerie world, which kind of co-exist.
Basic LARP etiquette and rules
· NO touching. Handshakes are fine, but you don't know where everyone's personal bubble is; don't make someone uncomfortable
· Be sensative about subject matter. You don't know everyone's background and don't want to bring up uncomfortable topics or bad memories
· Don't be an ass. People will start to dislike you
· There are more rules and stuff, that's just what I remember off the top of my head. Will update ASAP
