Guilford College Women's Soccer
Guilford dropped a 1-0 decision to Salisbury University Saturday afternoon in the opening round of Lynchburg College's Shellenberger Classic. The Seagulls outshot Guilford, 19-7, and scored the game-winning goal with just over 15 minutes left in the game. Amber Stapler made nine saves in goal for Guilford. Guilford returns a strong class of 13 letter winners and adds 18 newcomers in 2008. The large class should make Guilford more competitive and provide significant depth, especially on offense. Click here for the 2008 season outlook.
