Greensboro, NC (9/17/98) -- The Quakers saw their three-game win streak stopped as Lynchburg shut out Guilford, 2-0 Thursday afternoon. Sophomores Kacey Crabbe and Becca Simpkins led the way for the Hornets each scoring goals while the Hornets' defense held the Quakers to no shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Jenny Akman (Washington, DC/Georgetown Prep) had nine saves for Guilford. The visitors tallied 23 shots while limiting the home team to just nine. The Hornets are the defending ODAC champs and the preseason favorites for the league championship.
