QUAKERS TIE GREENSBORO, 1-1
Greensboro, NC (09/03/00) After playing in a downpour for most of the game Guilford and Greensboro ended in a 1-1 tie in the second day of the Greensboro College/TSI Soccer Classic. The field was covered with water throughout the game and sorely hampered play.
Guilford sophomore Erica Brammer (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI/University-Liggett) scored the lone goal for the Quakers off a free kick by classmate Amy Evans (New Bern, NC/New Bern). Senior Jenny Akman (Washington, DC/Georgetown Day) recorded five saves in goal for the Quakers.
Greensboro's tied the game in the second half from a pass by Kim Maher that was put in by Krystal Luebke. The goalie for Greensboro, Tiffany Riley, made five saves for the Pride.
