VIRGINIA INTERMONT THUMPS GUILFORD, 10-0, IN WOMEN'S SOCCER

Bristol, VA— Laura Hislop (Belfast, Ireland) scored four goals and an assist as host Virginia Intermont maintained its perfect record with an easy 10-0 win over Guilford Tuesday night. The Cobras, ranked ninth in this week's NAIA national poll, ran their record to 6-0 with the win.

Hislop scored twice in each half and assisted on the first of two Carol Bonnes (Ballyclarie, Ireland) goals in the first half. Nadine McCorry (Belfast, Ireland) and Lena Inglesrudoya (Oslo, Norway) also scored twice for the first-year Cobras.

Guilford (2-5-1), which fell for the third straight game, managed just two shots on goal and had no corner kicks. Senior goalie Jenny Akman (Washington, DC/Georgetown School) had nine saves in a losing effort.
