EVANS AND CAMPBELL SCORE HAT TRICKS IN QUAKERS' VICTORY

Greensboro, NC (9/22/99) — Sophomore Amy Evans (New Bern, NC/New Bern) and junior Kerrie Campbell (Greensboro, NC/Grimsley) each tallied three goals in Guilford's 7-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win over Sweet Briar Wednesday afternoon.

The Vixens jumped on top 10 minutes into the match with a goal by Elizabeth Hyland (Fair Haven, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven). The Quakers answered with four goals in the last 20 minutes of the half to take a 4-1 halftime advantage. Sophomore Erica Brammer (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI/University-Liggett) scored the third goal in that series, her first of the season.

Evans and Campbell both found the back of the net in the second half to complete their hat tricks. Campbell's three goals marks her career-high and Evans' three tallies and two assists move her into third place on Guilford's career points list and career goals list with 54 points and 24 goals, respectively.
