RANDOLPH-MACON TALLIES 8-1 WIN OVER GUILFORD

Greensboro, NC (10/10/99) — Seven different Randolph-Macon players scored as the Yellow Jackets beat Guilford, 8-1, on rain-soaked Haworth Field Sunday afternoon.

Junior Jenn Dadura (Mickleton, NJ/Kingsway Regional) found the back of the net twice in the first period helping her team to an impressive 7-0 lead at the half. In the second half, the Quakers allowed only one goal and sophomore Amy Evans (New Bern/New Bern) scored her team-leadnig 15th goal of the season to avoid the shutout. The tally marked Guilford's first against Randolph-Macon since 1993, a span of six matches.

Despite goalkeeper Jenny Akman's (Washington, DC/Georgetown Day) 26 saves, Guilford dropped its fourth straight match and Randolph-Macon earned its seventh Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory.
