Anderson scored eight of her 13 first-half points in the first six minutes of the game and helped the hosts to a 24-6 advantage with 9:40 left before halftime. Thanks to 12-of-16 free-throw shooting, the Quakers pulled to within 33-24 with 3:07 remaining in the first half on two Amy Evans (New Bern, NC/New Bern) foul shots. Junior Andrea Burrows (Amarillo, TX/Randall) answered for the hosts with back-to-back three-pointers and triggered a 12-2 run to close out the half. The Cowgirls forced 17 of the Quakers' turnovers in the opening period, which led to 21 points.

Goodman scored eight consecutive points, including back-to-back three pointers, as the Quakers pulled to within 14 points midway through the half. The Cowgirls pulled away for good after Burrows knocked down a three-pointer and senior Beth Urlickson (Fort Worth, TX/Arlington Heights) followed a Guilford turnover with a rare four-point play just six seconds later to swell the hosts' lead to 80-57 with 9:08 remaining.
Evans finished with 13 points for Guilford and senior forward Arden Miller (Landenberg, PA/Sanford School (DE)) added her ninth double double of the season with 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

Miller concludes her career ranked fourth on Guilford's career scoring and rebounding charts with 1322 points and 766 boards. She holds Quakers' standards for career three-point attempts, single game three-pointers and single-game three-point attempts. Guilford returns 12 letter winners for the 2001-2002 campaign.
