The Quakers won four of their last five
dual matches to clinch the program’s 18th consecutive winning season. Guilford took
fourth place at the 11-team ODAC Championships, finishing 1.5 points out of second place.
Washington and Lee won its eighth consecutive league title by winning all six singles and
all three doubles flights.
Libby Hinsley '99 and Beth Holcomb '00 placed second in the first and sixth singles flights, respectively, to earn second team All-ODAC recognition. Hinsley teamed with Erica Carrier '98 to finish second at first doubles. Hinsley has earned second team all-league honors in singles and doubles in each of her three seasons with the program. She led Guilford with a 15-9 overall singles record, 8-1 in the ODAC. A second team GTE Academic All-District III pick, she also led Coach Chuck McCracken’s squad with 10 doubles victories.
