Coach Jennifer Wolos
Jennifer Wolos opens her first season as Guilford's women's tennis coach. Wolos assumes her first college coaching position and becomes her alma mater's sixth head women's tennis coach.
Wolos served as an assistant tennis professional at Sedgefield Country Club and Adams Farm Swim and Tennis Club while completing her master's degree at North Carolina A&T State University. She received a master's degree in health and physical education in 2000 and holds Pro 2 certification from the United States Professional Tennis Association.
Her two-year tenure as head tennis professional at the Woodcroft Swim and Tennis Club in Durham, NC, included individual instruction and coaching a junior travel team and interclub team.
A three-year tennis letter winner at Guilford, Wolos earned second team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors at fifth singles as a senior. She compiled a 34-11 singles record in two seasons at fifth and sixth singles and a 12-7 career doubles mark. Guilford posted a 44-8 record with three straight second-place ODAC Tournament finishes in Wolos' three seasons. The Quakers ranked among the top 23 teams in the Rolex/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III poll each year.
The 1996 Guilford graduate is a physical education teacher at Bessemer Elementary School in Greensboro.
