WASHINGTON AND LEE BLANKS GUILFORD IN ODAC WOMEN'S LACROSSE

-- Host Washington and
Lee held Guilford without a shot and claimed a 22-0 Old Dominion Athletic
Conference (ODAC) decision Saturday afternoon.
The Generals are ranked 13th in this week's Brine/Intercollegiate Women's
Lacrosse Coaches' Association (IWLCA) Division III poll and the preseason
favorites in the ODAC coaches' rankings.
Fourteen
different players scored goals for Washington and Lee (2-1, 2-0 ODAC), which
recorded its fourth shutout in school history.
Sophomore midfielder Lee Wheeler (Baltimore, MD/Bryn Mawr) led the
way with four goals. Junior attack Leslie
Bogart (Wilton, CT/Wilton) scored once and made five assists, all on the
Generals' first eight goals. Sophomore
midfielder Kelly Taffe (Charlottesville, VA/Albemarle) added three goals
and two assists.
Freshman
goaltender Lindsey Kennedy (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) made 13 saves for
Guilford.
Guilford
makes its home debut this Tuesday (3/12) versus league-rival Hollins at 4:00
p.m. Washington and Lee entertains
Nazareth Wednesday (3/13) at 4:00 p.m.
