Greensboro, NC (05/02/01) -- Guilford College junior Kirsten Dexter (Highland, MD/River Hill) earned honorable mention All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's lacrosse honors, the league announced Wednesday. The league's nine head coaches made the all-conference selections.

She started all 17 Guilford games on defense and led the team with a school-record 76 ground balls. Dexter paced the club in ground balls in six of the team's 17 contests, including a career-high 11 pickups in its April 17 loss to ODAC Tournament runner-up Lynchburg.

First-year head coach Tara Caminiti-Raggett's club went 3-14, 1-7 in the ODAC, which marked a two-win improvement over the 2000 team's record. Guilford reached the ODAC Tournament for the fifth time in six years, falling to eventual tourney champion Washington and Lee in the quarterfinals.

Dexter is one of 10 letter winners expected to return to next season's team.
