
ODAC PRESEASON WOMEN'S LACROSSE POLL RELEASED
Greensboro, NC (02/29/00) The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) released its 2000 women's lacrosse preseason coaches polls Tuesday. Guilford's women were picked seventh in the nine-team conference. Roanoke received the top ranking, while Randolph-Macon was tabbed to finish second.
Guilford returns seven letter winners from last season's 8-9 club (4-4 ODAC), which tied for fifth place in the league and advanced to the league quarterfinals for the ninth straight season. Senior Jenn Jankowski (Bethlehem, CT/Westover School), a first-team All-ODAC pick in 1999, returns after leading Guilford's scorers with 48 goals and 11 assists in 1999. Junior Kate Allen (Cumberland, RI/Lincoln School), is also back on the attack this season after recording 10 goals and six assists for 16 points.
The Quakers opened their season February 26th with a 19-0 loss at Lynchburg College.
