HOLLINS TAKES WOMEN'S LACROSSE DECISION OVER GUILFORD

Greensboro, NC (03/31/00) – Freshman midfielder Hannah Huber (Richmond, VA) scored five goals and junior midfielder Emily Chewning (Manakin-Sabot, VA) added four scores as visiting Hollins downed Guilford, 13-2, in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's lacrosse action Friday. The win snapped Hollins' 11-game losing streak to the Quakers, which extended back to 1988.

Huber tallied four of her goals in the first half, including two in the opening three minutes, as Hollins (5-5, 1-4 ODAC)jumped out to an 8-2 intermission advantage. Hollins kept Guilford (1-6, 0-4 ODAC) scoreless for the second half and Chewning and sophomore attack Georgia Luck (Richmond, VA) each tallied twice to close out the scoring.

Guilford visits crosstown rival Greensboro College Tuesday (4/4) at 4:00 pm.
