EASTERN MENNONITE HANDS GUILFORD FOURTH STRAIGHT LOSS

Harrisonburg, VA (9/26/98) — Royals midfielder Jason Yoder scored the winning goal in Eastern Mennonite's 2-1 victory over Guilford on Saturday. Yoder's header to win the game came one and a half minutes into the second half and was assisted by midfielder Jon Moyer.  The Quakers' goal came courtesy of junior back Owen Finberg (Margaretville, NY/Margaretville) with seven and a half minutes remaining in the first half.  The first goal for the Royals was scored by back Kurt Hostetler off of an assist from Cedric Steiner.

The Quakers are now 1-6 overall 1-2 in the conference while the Royals improve their record to 4-3-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the conference.
