
ROANOKE ENDS GUILFORD'S SEASON WITH 6-0 WIN
Greensboro, NC (10/31/98) Sam Starkweather scored twice as Roanoke ended Guilford's season with a 6-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win on Saturday. The Quakers needed a win and a Bridgewater loss to earn the eighth and final berth in the ODAC Tournament.
Roanoke outshot the Quakers, 25-3. Guilford freshman goalie Adrian Sperka (Tryon, NC/ Polk County) picked up eight saves to finish the year with 57.
The Quakers finish their season with a record of 3-15, 1-8 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
